DESIGN IT
Our consultation starts with you. We know you’ve looked at pictures on the Internet. Perhaps it’s a neighbour’s deck that got you thinking. Whatever the case, we want to hear all about your great ideas and how you want to utilize your outdoor space. After an initial call, one of our deck experts will come out to your property to see your space and discuss your deck project. Whether you’re shopping for a hot tub deck, multi-tiered deck, rooftop deck, walkout basement patio, or any combination, your family deserves the best version of your vision. We will explore design and layout, material preferences and potential accessories. Once we have captured the scope of the project, our digital software makes the approval process, communication and document sharing very convenient and user friendly.
BUILD IT
This is the easy part. With all the details and paperwork out of the way, let the construction begin. Our team will keep you up to date with your daily schedules and our crews will introduce themselves as they come to site. All necessary materials will be moved into the space and work will commence. All our work is carried out by qualified tradesman to ensure your new deck will be built to the highest standards and to Code. Once construction is complete, the site and deck area are thoroughly cleaned and all debris and remaining materials are removed. Final inspections (if required) are completed and approved and your space is now ready for you to enjoy!!! Whether its wood, composite or vinyl, our decks will compliment your home and landscape.

We hired Noel to build our dream deck on our house. Originally I had just reached out for him to do the deck portion but I mentioned that we were looking for a covered patio for the upper portion of the back deck and he said this was something he has done in the past. It saved us hiring a general contractor which we have done in the past but have had mixed results.
Noel walked through the design of the deck with us. We had an idea of what we wanted but weren’t sure about a few design aspects. He was always reassuring us that we could make changes as the project went on. We did have to alter things as we saw the project move along. Some were requests by us and others were things that Noel pointed out that would make the design flow better or save time/cost.
The flexibility he gave us on making changes really removed a lot of the stress that these big projects sometimes come with.
The roof had to be built around an existing bay window which complicated things but Noel worked with his engineer to make sure everything would be to code and pass inspection.
All of the trades that he works with from the electrician, builders, the railing and glass company, were very professional and courteous. Not the typical messy, smoking, swearing trades people we have seen on other renovation projects. The speed that they worked at was incredible. The only pauses we had were due to materials we had changed (colour of roof etc.) otherwise he would have had this done in under 4 weeks.
Noel is also very transparent with the costs of the build. So you get comfortable understanding how much it is to jump up in quality on the decking, and when we asked for real timber post and beams, he let us know what we could save if we just use regular lumber.

I can’t recommend Deck King enough! After purchasing our first home, my partner and I searched for decking companies with no luck. Eventually, we were referred to Deck King. Jennifer gave us so much helpful information and Brady came out to do the initial consult. We wanted a big deck with lots of dimension, and Brady gave us exactly what we wanted. Sorry it only took me one year to write the review. We had our deck done by deck King in May 2023. It was a very good experience. Brady was the one who did the consultation and blue print/design. We feel that Brady really listened to what we wanted and made good suggestions and ideas on our dream deck. Brady was very good on calling me back or returning my text messages with any concerns. The work was physically done by one man-Stephen who did a wonderful job. During building, Stephen will check in with us to see what exactly we preferred. Stephen was detail oriented, and I really liked that he is so skillful to build the oriental privacy wall that I love so much. This wall probably took him longer time than just a regular privacy wall but I really appreciate that he took the extra time to build it. To complete the final touch on putting the lights on my pergola, Brady went above and beyond on having a complementary electric plug in put in at the pergola. We have many complements from family and friends on how beautiful the deck is. We spent a lot of time on our new deck. I don’t feel like going out to the restaurant to eat or celebrate now as our deck is more beautiful than any restaurant patio! We highly recommend Deck King to anyone who would like to have a deck of their dream made! Thank you Deck King for making our dream deck a reality! All the best to your team.

Deck King replaced our 40 year old deck from the ground up. Demolition was done in no time and framing was completed the next day. Installation of the composite boards was done quickly and the railing people showed up the next day. Very efficient, high quality installation. We would definitely recommend Deck King to others.

We decided to go for it almost at the end of the season but Noel managed to make it despite weather conditions and interference with other contractors. Minimal effort from our side and surprisingly no extra cost from the initial estimate! I recommend Deck King
In a world where customer service is seemingly on the decline I can easily give five stars to Deck King. Brady and Noel are both great with people. Even when I got a bit needy, they were both great at putting me back in my place gently, lol. The quality of workmanship is outstanding. We couldn't be more please with the new outdoor space they provided us with. 100% recommended!

Before I didn't know where to look for to build my Deck. So when i look on line they are so many options to look but for some reason I end up choosing Deck king and let me tell you...I was so glad I pick them and no regrets whatsoever. Noel and the team from Alex, Rob , Jen etc are absolutely amazing to work with. They did an outstanding and remarkable job on building my deck, workmanship was top notch. I used Deck King to build a large deck for my walk out basement house. I interviewed several deck companies in Calgary before choosing to go with Brady and Deck King. I’m very happy that we decided to go with Deck King. Not only did they do a fantastic job but dealing with Brady was great. He was always responsive when I had questions and very organized during the whole process. He helped identify issues before we started and made thoughtful suggestions to our design. We had a last-minute change to what we wanted and helped us organize that change without issue. All his crews were very professional and friendly. We also had a large home renovation taking place at the same time and his crews worked with our general contractor to make sure there were no conflicts on either side. I highly recommend Deck King to anyone looking for a new deck.
Outstanding work from Noel and Mike! 10/10, would use these guys again in a heartbeat. They know their stuff! On the first day, they identified some concerns and some better solutions to the plans drawn up by our contractor, and then throughout the build, they brought up other ideas as we conversed more. So knowledgeable, and their craft speaks for itself. Gorgeous work.

Noel and Mike were fantastic. Noel was introduced to us by our contractor. From beginning to end, we felt at ease. Noel was able to conceptualize and bring to reality this 2-level deck and pergola. We are just so impressed!! We extended our upper deck and they built a huge lower deck area and pergola. I found Deck King online and right away Brady came out for a quote and was on time, answered every text , every question I had got everything done so fast!! The guys came to start building the deck they did it so quick we’re here at 9 AM every day walking in to the yard I was so impressed they did amazing and good quality work. We are so happy I would highly highly recommend Deck King to anybody looking to redo their deck or patio they were just amazing to deal with I’m just so blown away and impressed!! They killed it !!!
